On the ninth day of my advent calendar, celebrating nature and the wilds of my imagination, rests five little parcels. They are all wrapped up in birch bark paper, tied with plant stem ribbons and topped with pretty natural rosettes, including poppy seed heads, spindle-berries, and thistledown. The label attached to them reads, Christmas all wrapped up! Oh, if only the same was true beyond the wilds of my imagination, in the real day-to-day world!
