Lectures
• Conservation genomics, safeguarding biodiversity and population management in wildlife and livestock
• Cryobanking of animal genetic resources and integrated in situ en ex situ conservation strategies
• Outreach and stakeholder engagement related to conservation genetics
Practical training
• Hands-on training at the CGN animal gene bank, incl. quality control, documentation and long-term storage
• Collection, processing and cryoconservation of male and female germplasm
Tours and visits

Our partner the CryoStore DN (www.cryostoreproject.com) will be holding its 3rd Summer Training School this July in Wageningen. This training school for PhD students will focus on conservation, management and cryobanking of livestock and wildlife animal genetic resources.
