Foto einer Karte mit 53 verschiedenen Blautönen, von fast-weiß bis dunkelblau. In der Mitte der Karte ist ein rundes Loch, durch das man die Farbe des Himmels mit den Blautönen auf der Karte vergleichen kann. Der Himmel ist allerdings hellgrau, nicht blau wie auf dem Cyanometer

Ich ziehe privat gerade um, von einer sehr dunklen in eine sehr helle Wohnung mit viel Himmel ☀️🔵

Und um das zu feiern, habe ich mir ein modernes #Cyanometer gekauft.

Jetzt brauche ich nur noch eine Variante in Grautönen für norddeutsche Wintertage.

The photo shows an instrument called a Cyanometer being held up to show dozens of different shades of blue. It was created more than 230 yrs. ago, to measure the intensity of the blueness of the sky.

Inspired by https://cyanometer.net/ I've been measuring the colour of the sky over #UVic. Here's a test video showing all of 2024. Each month shown in a block 6 columns by 6 rows. The months are arranged in rows, JFMA, MJJA, SOND.

How blue is your sky? (read in your best Bee Gees voice … sorry for the earworm 🤷🏻‍♂️)
