I jailbroke my 3ds the other day because I was bored. Now I went down a rabbit hole and I want to build a cyberdeck and install linux on my laptop. This may be a problem...an expensive problem but a fun problem I think.

To close, a work-in-progress project to create a #RaspberryPi-powered tablet which runs on AA batteries.
Yes, just like my Cambridge Computers Z88. Except the Z88 takes four batteries (and my even-more-portable HP 200LX takes two). This? This thing'll take *ten*. Possibly 15 […]

My #cyberdeck build is almost done.
#3dprint is complete, parts are assembled but not painted yet.

And finally, I'm always a sucker for a #cyberdeck - and the CyberPlug is a great example. 3D-printed frame? Yup. #RaspberryPi inside? Check. Off-the-shelf compact keyboard and odd-aspect-ratio display? Yeppers.
But take a look at the breadboard section to the left of the screen, wired in to the […]
I really badly want to do a #cyberdeck project this year, but I’m torn in a zillion directions about form factor and what i want to do with the thing. Lora node kinda goes without saying, but i lowkey want to add a bunch of other weird sensors and features. IDK. Still debating.
Switched from #blender to #FreeCAD for my #cyberdeck build and finally gathered all the hardware parts. #3dprinting it tomorrow! Still not sure how I’ll paint it, though.

So I bought a new Raspberry Pi Zero 2W core for the #Cyberdeck and now I²C is working. Maybe I should remove the red power LED on the board. I'm not sure how I managed to destroy the I²C function of the other RPi. 😟

The cyberdeck with a battery indicator LED
One of the problems with the #Cyberdeck is that there is no way to monitor the battery. I was planning on using an ADC board with a voltage divider and current sensor but all of these things need I²C working and so far that's stubbornly broken. So I added a very small battery indicator LED & switch.
