CyberTrust: Einstieg in gelebte Informationssicherheit auch für kleine Organisationen Viele kleine und mittlere Organisationen stehen vor der gleichen Herausforderung: Informationssicherheit wird immer wichtiger, ja sogar überlebenswichtig. Gleichzeitig fehlt oft die Personaldecke, um komplexe Managementsysteme wie ISO/IEC 27001 umfassend einzuführen und dauerhaft zu betreiben. Genau hier setzt das CyberTrust-Zertifikat an. ### Ein pragmatischer Einstieg CyberTrust ist ein praxisnahes Zertifizierungsschema, das speziell darauf ausgelegt ist, Unternehmen einen niederschwelligen Zugang zu IT-Sicherheit und Datenschutz zu ermöglichen. Es verbindet verbindliche Mindeststandards mit einem klaren, strukturierten Vorgehen. So entsteht eine Basissicherheit, die in alle Betriebsabläufe integriert werden kann. Besonders für kleinere Organisationen hat diese Strategie einen entscheidender Vorteil: statt Ressourcen in komplexe Formalismen zu investieren, können sie sich auf die wirklich relevanten Maßnahmen zur Absicherung ihrer Informationen (und nicht nur alleine ihrer IT) konzentrieren. ### Stufenmodell für unterschiedliche Reifegrade CyberTrust ist mehrstufig aufgebaut und bietet so eine Entwicklungsperspektive. Für mich stellen sich die vier möglichen Zertifizierungsstufen folgendermaßen dar: * **Standard & Silber Label:** Einstiegslevel, mit denen Organisationen zeigen, dass sie ein solides Fundament an Sicherheitsmaßnahmen etabliert haben. * **Gold & Platinum Label:** Vertiefte Varianten für Unternehmen, die ihre Sicherheitskultur weiter ausbauen und ein höheres Maß an Resilienz nachweisen wollen. Bei Platinium sogar NIS2 Konformität. CyberTrust passt sich also an die jeweilige Größe, den Reifegrad und die Ambitionen einer Organisation an. Wer klein anfängt, kann den Sicherheitsstandard später Schritt für Schritt erhöhen. ### Ich sehe einen klaren Mehrwert über die reine IT-Sicherheit hinaus Der Nutzen einer CyberTrust Zertifizierung geht weit über Fragen der IT-Technik hinaus, hier eine (nicht vollständige Liste die mir dazu einfallen würde): * Reduziert das Risiko von Cyberangriffen und Datenverlust durch klar definierte Schutzmaßnahmen. * Schafft Transparenz über vorhandene IT-Assets, Datenflüsse und Schutzbedarfe. * Ermöglicht gezielten Ressourceneinsatz statt planloser Investitionen in Sicherheitstools. * Stärkt Vertrauen von Kunden und Partnern durch nachweisbar gelebte Sicherheitsstandards. * Unterstützt die Einhaltung rechtlicher Vorgaben wie DSGVO oder branchenspezifische Auflagen. * Erleichtert Versicherungsabschlüsse und verbessert Konditionen bei Cyber-Versicherungen. * Sichert die Geschäftskontinuität durch vorbereitete Notfall- und Wiederherstellungsprozesse. * Schafft Verantwortlichkeiten und klare Rollen für Informationssicherheit. * Fördert Sicherheitsbewusstsein der Mitarbeitenden und reduziert menschliche Fehler. * u.s.w. So wird CyberTrust nicht nur zum Instrument für IT-Abteilungen, sondern zu einem Bestandteil einer nachhaltigen Unternehmensführung im Bereich Informationssicherheit. ### Kein Ersatz für vollwertige ISO-27001 Zertifizierung So ehrlich muss man sein, CyberTrust ersetzt keine vollständige ISO/IEC 27001 Zertifizierung mit ihrem umfangreichen Pflichtumfang. ISO/IEC 27001 bleibt weiterhin der höchste Standard im Informationssicherheitsmanagement. ### Mein persönliches Fazit aus meiner Beratertätigkeit bei einigen Kunden CyberTrust bietet vor allem kleinen Organisationen ohne großen personellen Ressourcen (Stichwort kein CISO, keine IT-Security Stelle) eine realistische Möglichkeit, Sicherheitsbewusstsein systematisch zu verankern, ohne den Aufwand einer ISO/IEC 27001 Zertifizierung stemmen zu müssen, zumindest gilt dies für die unteren drei Stufen bis Gold. Mit CyberTrust Platinum erreicht man allerdings bereits ein sehr hohes Sicherheitsniveau. Daher sollte sorgfältig geprüft werden, ob nicht unmittelbar der nächste konsequente Schritt in Richtung einer ISO/IEC 27001 Zertifizierung gegangen werden könnte.
