Remember: While it’s a very good idea to have bug out bags packed, you should *NOT* be attempting to evacuate while #CycloneAlbert is above you unless your house is literally falling down on top of you. A damaged house at least still offers you some degree of protection.

The approach of #CycloneAlbert is getting very real now. I'm 30 km s/w of Lismore the rain is picking up and the wind is pretty persistent now.
There is a lot of anxiety in the Northern Rivers, spare a thought for everyone in the path, but particularly the residents and businesses in Lismore NSW.

With a cyclone approaching, I'm really glad that I kept the Honda generator that we bought when we lived in a hinterland area that was more prone to power outages.
