Snowy Mountain has two opposing forts separated by a tall hill. Climbing over the tallest peak must have been dangerous during team matches.

"Snowy Mountain" remained exclusive to the online multiplayer of DCFF7. Thankfully, the map exists on disc for the NA- and PAL versions.
The north side, at the gorge, exhibits very light snowfall.

The Deepground NPC "Iruka" is an unhinged person who uses Mako Powder to reanimate dead soldiers. He refers to these zombies as "servants". The player would escape from these undead obstacles in the mission "Miraculous Servant".

The Quickturn accessory allows the player to rotate 180 degrees by pressing L3 while aiming. This accessory was available in the online multiplayer. An unused version of it exists in the "Single Player" item pool as well.

In the original JP version this particular wall in Ch10 will instantly teleport you to the adjoining passage.
On emulator a rounding error changes the glitch so you can't enter the passage at all! This blocks your path to the end.

Vincent's ID as a member of the Turks was "GAI012", as revealed in DCFF7's tutorial mode and in the multiplayer. This ID system surfaced again in FFVII Rebirth when we learned that Cissnei is "GAI153".

Shelke: With the help of the HJ Virus, I am able to hack into Patricia and bypass security. Then all that's needed is to pick a suitable subject before it's implanted with the chip.
The player character wakes up briefly at the start of the multiplayer's story. Shelke walks by and has either selected- or is about to select your character for the Tsviets' uprising against the Restrictors.
Shelke interacting with Patricia through both SND (Synaptic Net Dive) and a normal computer terminal.
"Patricia" is the computer that oversees all of Deepground. Shelke bypasses this security through the "HJ Virus" and enacts sneaky rebellion. The meaning of "HJ" is never revealed, but "HiJack" is a reasonable guess.

The Player Character's limit break is interrupted and Shelke redirects it for her own limit break attack. 9 versions of Shelke attack the target all at once.

In Scene 9 of the online mode Shelke uses "Countertek" to nullify the Player Character's limit break. She then redirects the cancelled move, executing her own LB on the player character. In cameos we see this tech again.

The Aerial Mine elevators in Shinra HQ have a mid-section that is normally out of reach. The doors on that floor actually have valid open/close prompts and exploring these reveal the illusion of a larger, hidden area.

Nero claims there are no teams in Deepground. But in the online multiplayer there were player-created teams called "Units". Based on a set of combined templates, Units also chose their own logo.

Continuing work on my DCFF7 walkmesh viewer. Now I can load multiple files into the same Open3D window.
Confirmed that some special rooms in the Deepground Lobby load a bit higher up. Visiting the "character select" room in-game would be cool.

The defense-boosting 'Guard N Barrel' is easy to miss due to how difficult it is to save the 12 WRO members and thus unlock this item. On higher difficulties the WRO take more damage, so saving them gets even harder.

The original version of DCFFVII, when played on Hard mode, has an "item selection glitch". By picking up items while in the menu you can perform actions on unintended items, including the cardkey.
This bug provides no advantages, unfortunately.

Platforming tests include embedded numbers in the environment to represent distances and angles. Small water pools of varying depth exist to play in. A row of glass windows are suspended in mid-air for the player to shoot down.

This flashback area is known internally as "Scenic Place". Vincent and Lucrecia have a picnic here. The map is also the burial place of Shelke- and Shalua's mother, though lore-wise the locations are likely distinct.
