I was just blocked by somebody from the English language reading groups for #Clarissa and/or #dp25.
I am reading Clarissa in English and trying to follow your discussions.
I hope to catch up with Don Quixote some time later and therefore also followed the discussions.

Very exciting news! We found out last week that we received an #ARC Discovery Project #DP25. We'll be setting up a digital platform to capture #consumer experiences of #agedcare.
Shout out to the team: Prof Johanna Westbrook, Dr Annie Lau, Dr Amy Nguyen

Feeling incredibly bloody lucky to have been successful with our #DP25. The system feels like such a lottery but it’s nice to finally get an ARC run on the board. Looking forward to getting started.
Text summarising the project. Briefly: This proposal aims to dissect the minimal chemical requirements for learning and memory formation in the compact, experimentally-accessible nematode brain. These findings are essential to understand more complex forms of learning and memory formation in bigger brains.
Amazed (and relieved) that our #DP25 "What makes a memory?" is funded! Excited to get stuck into fun #neuroscience to dissect the minimal molecular requirements for different types of #memory using our favourite #worm model @flindersuniversity.bsky.social.
Stoked to get an ARC #DP25 grant with Madi Rosevear and @profmattengland.bsky.social to include ice shelf cavities into #COSIMA model configs, and to understand processes controlling heat delivery to Antarctica’s ice shelves. We'll be looking for a postdoc, so get in touch if you're keen!
Over the moon to be awarded an @arc_gov_au #DiscoveryProject with Prof Simon Killcross @ #UNSWScience! This project will investigate when, where and how corticostriatal circuits support impulse control. Big thanks to the village of supporters that helped me get here! #DP25 🐀🧠👩🏻🔬
🍾 Toasting the ARC #DP25 #DiscoveryProject success of our wonderful @scienceanu.bsky.social #PlantScience colleagues Joanna Melonek, John Rathjen & Kai Chan. Lots more exciting plant science research to come 🌱
Very happy to see this funded! Looking forward to working with a great team to uncover the role of protein aggregation in viruses! #DP25
Absolutely thrilled that our ARC Discovery Project was funded 🥹 I'm so proud of our team of talented #womeninSTEM - Dr Lesley Cheng and Dr Emily Mackie 🙌🏻 Thank you to the College of Experts, assessors, mentors and my amazing team at Uni of Adelaide! Can't wait to get this project started 🎉🌱 #DP25
Delighted to receive @arc_gov_au #dp25 funding with Sarah Turpin-Nolan to study skeletal muscle #lymphatics 🎉
Can’t wait to get started!
So many grant outcomes announced in 🇦🇺 today. To those receiving bad news - keep your chin up high! You are doing good work and your time will come
Generative AI and the future of academic writing and publishing. This project examines the impact of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies on scholarly research and publishing. The project investigates how GenAI technologies are shaping the future of academic research from search to publication, including how academic publishers and peak research advisory bodies are responding to the potential of these technologies. The project develops a framework for understanding the sociotechnical drivers shaping the debate and establishes cross-sector principles to promote a more consistent and critical response by key stakeholders. In doing so, it supports ongoing learning within scholarly communities for a more responsive national research system, optimising GenAI for public good.
Super excited about our successfully funded #ARC Discovery #DP25 application on GenAI and the future of academic writing and publishing, led by @riedlinm.bsky.social, with Jake Goldenfein, @jeanburgess.bsky.social, & Aaron Snoswell. Get ready to hear lots more about Research GenAI or #RGAI from us!

I’m lucky to be surrounded by supportive students, colleagues, and friends. And to have learned in Capoeira how to get up after getting a “rasteira” (sweep) 💪🏽

So pleased to do this project with you @kolarich-glyco-lab.bsky.social, Lennart Kuck, and Jason Peart

Good luck #DP25 applicants. Let's remember 26th November 2024 #DeleteorComplete Day.
I hope a lot of you can switch off, if only for a few weeks, leading into Christmas 🤞

#DP25.
So, despite reports of ARC staff saying that #DiscoveryProjects #DP25 recommendations were sent to the Minister before 1st Nov., this cannot be true because they do not appear in the #ARCSenateOrder list just published.
#DiscoveryProjects #DP25
Rejoinders have opened.
Assessor reports are now available in RMS ▶️ rms.arc.gov.au
#DiscoveryProjects
Reviewer reports available tomorrow (7 Aug) for #DP25. Normally ~11am AEST.
Good luck!
But with ~1140 proposals & ~3500 reviews, there'll be some #BadReviewers. Unfortunately, this is where ARC could make real improvements, as summarised in this old 🧵👇
Screenshot of a tweet from the ARC pointing to updated information about the assessment of Discovery Projects Expression of Interest.
#DiscoveryProjects #DP25
ARC has included a bit more information about the assessment of the Expressions of Interest.
In particular, some explanation that there may or may not be some overlap between the 3 College assessors on an EOI and the 2 on the corresponding full app👇
#DiscoveryProjects #DP25
Has anyone managed to get a straight answer from the ARC about whether the two College assessors of a full app will be
(a) definitely the same;
(b) definitely not the same; or
(c) possibly the same
as 2 of the 3 EOI assessors?
🙏
ARC has opened full applications for #DiscoveryProjects #DP25.
EOI info is copied across to full app form, without possibility to change it. Good.
I wondered whether EOI 2-page Project Description would be included in full app & available to assessors. DMers report it isn't.
🚨#DiscoveryProjects #DP25
❗️Outcomes for Expressions of Interest should now be available in your RMS account ▶️ rms.arc.gov.au
Lead CIs should also get an email their outcomes, but ARC said these might be staggered through the day.
Full apps are due to ARC on 4 June.
