So, all this #DataHoarding I've been up to has me wondering:
Are tape backups still a thing?
Like, if you want to store a petabyte or so of data and you don't care about random access, it seems like that'd be an economical way to do it. Or does everyone just store their stuff "in the cloud" now?

A 10 terabyte SATA hard drive sitting atop a black tower PC case, connected to a USB-SATA adapter. The drive has Hewlett-Packard Enterprise branding and is encased in a rackmount server tray.
One of my #NewYearsResolutions is to hoard more data, so I picked up an open-box 10TB hard drive. This will serve as a second copy of all the stuff I've got stashed in my pile of old, smaller drives. I also have two 2TB HDDs I'll soon be freeing up for #DataHoarding use.
