(사진=JYP엔터테인먼트, Sony Music Labels Inc.) 두 번째 EP ‘GOOD GIRL BUT NOT FOR YOU’는 2024년 7월 발표한 첫 EP ‘RISE UP’(라이즈 업) 이후 약 1년 9개월 만에 선보이는 새 앨범이다. 새 EP에는 선공개곡 ‘Dear…’와 함께 스스로 미래를 개척해 나가는 모습을 담은 타이틀곡 ‘Too Bad’(투 배드), 멤버들이 작사에 참여한 팬송 ‘Light it Up’(라이트 잇 업)까지 총 3곡이 수록된다. 앨범 발매 일정도 구체화됐다. 이번 EP는 오는 4월 1일 일본에서 정식 발매되며, NiziU는 선공개 음원을 시작으로 타이틀곡과 팬송 등 수록곡들을 순차적으로 선보이게 된다. 공연 소식도 이어졌다. NiziU는 최근 공식 SNS 채널에 포스터를 올리고 두 번째 돔 투어인 ‘NiziU Live with U 2026 DOME TOUR’(니쥬 라이브 위드 유 2026 돔 투어) 개최를 알렸다. 포스터에는 투어 일정과 공연장이 함께 담겨 현지 팬들의 관심을 모았다. ‘NiziU Live with U 2026 DOME TOUR’는 6월 일본 양대 돔에서 진행된다. NiziU는 6월 6일과 7일 교세라 돔 오사카, 13일과 14일 도쿄돔에서 각각 단독 콘서트를 열고 대규모 관객과 만난다. 이번 돔 투어는 2022년 펼친 ‘NiziU Live with U 2022 “Burn it Up”’(니쥬 라이브 위드 유 2022 "번 잇 업") 이후 약 3년 6개월 만에 다시 마련되는 단독 돔 공연이다. 당시 NiziU는 도쿄돔과 교세라 돔 오사카에서 진행한 4회 공연 티켓을 모두 매진시키며 현지에서의 존재감을 드러낸 바 있다. NiziU의 일본 활동은 현재도 이어지고 있다. NiziU는 아레나 투어 ‘NiziU Live with U 2026 "NEW EvoNUtion"’("뉴 에보뉴션")로 팬들을 만나고 있으며, 이 투어 역시 전 회차 매진을 기록했다. 이번 아레나 투어는 지난 2월 아이치에서 시작해 홋카이도와 오사카 공연을 마쳤다. 이어 3월 18일~19일과 21일~22일 도쿄, 28일~29일 후쿠오카 공연까지 포함해 일본 5개 도시에서 총 12회 규모로 진행된다. NiziU는 선공개곡 ‘Dear…’와 4월 발매되는 두 번째 EP, 그리고 6월 돔 투어, 현재 진행 중인 아레나 투어를 통해 일본 음악 시장에서 활동 접점을 넓히고 있다.
