December 2025 Reading Wrap-up 13 books read across 4,973 pages, given an average rating of 4.08 stars The highest rated reads were Oathbound by Tracy Deonn, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou Vol 5 by Hitoshi Ashinano, and Malice by John Gwynne Average book length was 390 pages with an average finish time of 2 days Out of books read, 85% were fiction and 15% were nonfiction, with most popular genres in descending order being Fantasy, Science Fiction, Romance, Manga, and Sociology. The remaining two charts show pages read per day and that 100% of books read this month were print editions.

A bumper reading month this month. Books I especially enjoyed this month were the remainder of the Thief quadrilogy (is that a word?) by Martin Ferguson and the Butterfly Assassin trilogy by Finn Longman.

My favourite book this month was "The Fellowship of Puzzlemakers", a fantastic debut by Samuel Burr. It's a great contemporary mystery with a strong Golden Age voice that felt incredibly immersive. Highly recommended!
