UPDATE: 3/25/25, 9:30 p.m. Fire crews will continue to monitor the fire throughout the night! There is no immediate danger to the public! Crews will reassess the status early Wednesday a.m. and an update will be provided at that time!

State air resources have been called in to assist as the wetlands present challenges with gaining access close to the fire! To clarify previous media reports, the fire is not on Bateman Island! The DNR Copter Type ll has recently just left the fire!

The trail along Columbia Park Trail is temporarily closed! While there is a light smoke haze near SR240, there is currently no danger or sight issues along this corridor! If this changes, we will post an update as soon as possible! Fire is unknown containment!

Looking at WSDOT cameras near Richland, Washington, fire activity appears to have calmed a reasonable amount by SR 240! The fire continues to burn at 75 acres and Air Support has just arrived with a type ll Copter on scene and Air Commander!
