Depends on what salvaging means. We need to #derisk USA, basically a #USA+1 in security like a #China+1 in supply chains.
It is quite likely there will be some Trump 3.0 in the future, but most Americans share our values and interests.
We were probably at that inflection point already, but the speech galvanized people and gave the extra push out of US inner orbit.
Europe will remain close to the US, but we are headed for a major #derisk, going for a #US+1 policy in security, #China+1 in supplies.
