I took a nap this afternoon, and in my dream, I was working on a new sci-fi game. About 5 minutes after waking up, it hit me that it obviously doesn't exist yet, so I raced to write down what I remember about the plot 😭 I wish I could pull it from my brain fully formed. #DevDiaries

Ever since I woke up my head has been bothering me, so I thought I'd take things easy and chill in bed. I decided to brainstorm an old idea for Road Trip Game Jam that's been floating around my brain.

In this scene, there is a gutter with the prison bar effect behind Anne, to indicate that she is trapped and has no control over her situation. Another place where this technique is used is when the Caretaker is talking about Bonku's past. Once Bonku disappears from the human world into the Forgotten Lands, there are striped shadows falling across his work desk, which visually suggest that he has now become trapped.

Back earlier in the year I feel like I stumbled into the most amazing opportunity. And those of you that know me well, you know how much I love: books, video games, and writing stories. Somehow I got hired to do some freelance work adapting outlines for a visual novel into scripts. I'm beyond grateful for this opportunity. It still hasn't quite sank in that it happened. The game is officially out today and it would mean the world to me for you all to check it out. The base game is free to play. (I did also work on some of the paid dlc episodes. I've already been paid for what I wrote, but I'd still appreciate you checking them out and letting me know what you thought.) It's overall an adorably sweet game, and if you enjoyed it stay tuned for future content! I've been having a blast playing it today seeing how much the parts I contributed to evolved. Okay, I'm gonna go back to staring at the credits to make sure I didn't dream all this up.

It's incredible and also alarming to know it's been 4yrs since #OurLife released. I didn't know how I was going to keep my mum & myself safe during the start of the pandemic, and Cove changed my life! I was able to stay home, pay bills, & build emergency money (RIP old car + laptop). #DevDiaries
Fun fact about the WrestleStars hashtag I'm using for my wrestling related posts: I picked that marker, because it's a code name for a wrestling rpg/visual novel idea I have bouncing around my head. I think my earliest concepts of it are about a year old now. One day it might exist! #DevDiaries
