So, as you may or may not know, I am officially diagnosed with #autism; I also have #CerebralPalsy. Both of these classified me as #DevelopmentallyDisabled in Missouri, but only the autism classifies me as such in California (cus California is stricter and also my CP is that mild). 2/5

What worked for me was caring for others as a direct care worker, 20 years with #DevelopmentallyDisabled adults, 15 years caring for my parents, who both had many-years-long disabilities at #EndOfLife. Earned my way into heaven, but I am an #atheist. π«€
and High functioning means that Im not #developmentallydisabled enough for "DSO"
It's important to recognize that individuals in the #developmentallydisabled community have the same #rights as everyone else. This includes the right to be treated with #respect and #dignity, as well as the right to #communicate and #express themselves.
