Confirmed UK Government projects in Scotland – including support for regional productivity through development funding for Carbon Capture, investment in advanced manufacturing in Glasgow, and the reinstatement of support for the UK’s most powerful supercomputer in Edinburgh – highlights the government’s commitment to boosting productivity across the country. Broader questions remain however, over the coordination of such policies with the Scottish Government’s own economic development plans.
