A lot of the time it's not a case of 'won't'.
Ours kids do the best they can.
When they don't do well it's because there are barriers.
It's our job to figure out what they are, and remove them.

Cartoon shows hands raised in a pool with the rest of the body submerged (appearance of unable to swim) and an adult standing outside the pool with a speech bubble saying: “student would not comply with instructions to swim.”
Students do the best they can. Thank you to ALL of the teachers, therapists, specialists, administrators, and parents who work hard to remove barriers for students with diverse ability needs! 🙌
