This proved to be a very helpful exercise!
I was able to spend time assessing safe routes & planning for the easiest approach shots possible.
Breaking things down cerebrally helped to demystify several holes that have caused some consternation in the past.

I'm not sure who it was on Reddit who explained it in these terms, but the fundamental reason #DiscGolf is always so far below par compared to Golf is that putting is super easy.
Stats like greens in regulation aren't that dissimilar, but baskets are like golfers putting on basketball hoops.

Even though I have a tournament next weekend, I’m not going to play a round tomorrow.
Instead, I’m going to go out at daybreak and walk the course BACKWARDS twice.
I’m hoping to gain a deeper knowledge of the course by seeing it from another perspective.

One of my biggest pet beliefs in #DiscGolf is that the $15 PDGA non-member fee should count against the PDGA membership fee. Like, play two events in a year and now want a membership? It's $20. Play four? You're a member for the rest of the year if you opt-in.

I realize that the Parc des Familles (Big Easy Open) course is very long and has a ridiculous lack of gaps in the trees ... but in his press conference yesterday, Gannon Buhr called it "unfair"
