Yesterday marked the 11th flight test of our prototype #Do228! Pilot Jon Killerby and Flight Test Engineer James Yapp completed three circuits around the perimeter of the airfield for 20 minutes, once again demonstrating the reliability of the hydrogen-electric propulsion
Die Lüneburg-Linse dient als Referenzpunkt für HoloSAR-Flüge. 🛩️ Dabei flog die #DO228 der DLR-Forschungsflotte eine Helix über der roten Kugel. Ziel dieses Verfahrens ist es, ein 3D-Abbild der Region zu erhalten. So kann z.B. das Volumen von Gletscherspalten bestimmt werden. 3/4

Curtain-up for the latest @DLR_de research aircraft – the #DO228. 🛩️ It will be used to test electric propulsion systems. In #Oberpfaffenhofen, the conversion of the newcomer with the registration D-CEFD has begun. For a long time, it was in service as a passenger aircraft.
