#EAA2018 is over! Very interesting sessions, meeting old friends and learn tons of new things. Also, very pleased to see that parents were not afraid of bringing their kids at the conference sessions 🐨🐨🐨 Looking forward to the next one!

During #EAA2018 at @UniBarcelona a student initiative was putting up posters to raise awareness about #harassment in #archaeology - and to #stopviolenceinarchaeology.

Apparently not completely without hurdles ...

Going through notes from our (really vivid!) discussion at #EAA2018 #s371 on #scicomm, I just have to share the important comment from the audience on the '#NeolithicDoom'-phenomenon: "That's a mighty great name for a metal band!" 🤟

The #symposion (in it's classic meaning) still is the most important of all academic exchanges - as we could prove again in the cerveceria-post-session-evaluation after our #EAA2018 #s371 on "#Scicomm". ;-)

Thanks a lot again to everyone attending, presenting, and discussing!

#eaa2018 #s798 morning session with #worldbank reps was fantastic and stimulating, good discussion. Afternoon session #s797 (Presidents Forum) on same topic with same WB reps has fallen disappointingly flat. Room too big, no real discussion.

A short #EAA2018 #s371 chronology of when and how media coverage in work and research at #GöbekliTepe increased over time: Almost always these could be linked to specific events (publications, controversies, exhibitions) in the beginning.

#EAA2018 #s371 Starting with some introductory remarks by myself on our own experience with public engagement in the course of the #GöbekliTepe research project - subsequently leading to the creation of the @TepeTelegrams research weblog.

Missing an #EAA2018 session: bad.

Running into @adreinhard instead: super good!

And although it was a rather short reunion, he kindly agreed on a signing a copy of his #archaeogaming-"Introduction to #Archaeology in and of #VideoGames". Thanks Andrew!

Couple of minutes too late - and already facing a queue at #EAA2018 #s419. Looks like "Magic in Prehistory" piqued quite some interest (too much for the small room it seems).

Very constructive 1st day of #EAA2018 (almost) over (see you at the party later).

If you still have a free slot in your schedule tomorrow, why not consider drooping by our #s371 on "Communicating Archaeology and Cultural Heritage in a Post-Factual Age"? -...
