Illuminated bricolage sculpture photographed in an unlit space. Sculpture consists of clear and opalescent glass parts reclaimed from vintage chandeliers. Piece shapes are arced ribs with central channels for wire running through the entire length, floral cups, small octagonal crystals, and one urn shaped column spacer. They have been strung together using blue EL wire to build a repositionable organic form. The finished piece is vaguely pyramid-like in the photographed configuration with a braided tail of EL wire leading into a central column spacer.
The piece is titled "Invertebrate #2" and is from 2019. Photographed by the artist at The Crypt Gallery, St Pancras during the 2019 CityLit Sculpture Exhibition: "Break, Blow, Burn".
Excited to start sharing my #art here. Hope I'm tagging the correct prompt challenges. Unlikely I'll get to them everyday but I appreciate that they're giving my brain a starting point. This is "Invertebrate #2".
