Extra £4.5 million for Notts road repairs from combined authority The East Midlands Combined County Authority's (EMCCA) met to discuss funding and investment into major projects across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire

The fact that fixing potholes comes under "major projects" tells us everything we need to know about our region and country. Embarrassing stuff.

East Midlands authority budget surges from £20 million to £160 million The East Midlands Combined County Authority has seen its budget skyrocket as a result of receiving Government grants

£226m to spend on capital projects across an area the size of Notts/Derbyshire 🤔 For context, the planning application for the Lower Thames Crossing has so far cost £297m.

Not a serious region.

Amount spent per head on rail projects in London is roughly £5000 per person.

By this calculation, the #emcca / region is owed roughly £11b on rail projects alone since 1990. When you see our devolution deal is worth £1.14b over 30 years, there does seem to be a problem.
