The issue for me is that you can't replicate the rivalry of the test nations. Look at today's match for example. That is the result of decades, nay centuries, of history. No player or fan will feel that way about a franchise team any time soon.

The ECB could easily afford to give them more money, but they won't.

#EngInd A drawn series is no more than India deserve. The atmosphere at the Oval yesterday was incredible. Siraj bowled the finest spell of fast bowling I have seen in a very long time. When Brook threw his wicket away they came at England all guns blazing. Great match,great series.

Do you mean 5-day matches with teams made up of players of different nationalities? If so, then it's not for me.

I enjoyed the IPL for the first few years, but I've lost all interest in it now. And don't get me started on the Hundred...

Can't help but feel that England snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
England needed 73 to win with 7 wickets in hand. Quite why Harry Brooks felt the need to start slogging, when simply scoring singles and hitting the bad balls would have got England over the line
