Spoilers for EoM Ep 17-21 & 31 Ok I need to ask because I might be an idiot: Was it told to us that the man in the flames from Lethica’s memory was somebody she loved? Because I know during the ritual thing we only saw Lethica crying in front of a smoldering building then later when she’s revived after Marius bit her she has a nightmare about that same memory but there’s now a masculine figure that fills her with dread. The figure eventually morphs into Marius though I assume that has more to do with the trauma that she’s just experienced, but before that she was already scared of it. My two running theories is that the figure never existed until that moment of trauma and has nothing to do with her past; The other being that he was the one that caused the fire Lethica was crying over. Which is why I personally have come to the conclusion that if the figure is real, he isn’t someone that Lethica loves, more so someone she fears or hates. And even if she did love him at one point, he is most likely someone that betrayed her, via that fire at some point.
I also theorize that he may have something to do with the cult of Shar as well, and why Lethica was so determined to reach her goal in sealing Shar away for good. Considering Shar’s vendetta towards other gods it’s not a far stretch to think that this was probably another “cleansing” against a rivel cult, especial since Stryga is a Prime god who is much more powerful. Stryga may have chosen Lethica for this task not only because she was her most devoted follower but because it was also very personal to Lethica as well so she would be extra determined to put an end to the cult of Shar. Idk I feel that this is all connected in some way or I’m just going insane 🤷
