Israel is still killing Palestinians and limiting aid. This is what a ceasefire looks like in Gaza:
Israeli forces have shot and killed at least 15 Palestinians in Gaza since the ceasefire took effect on Friday. Israeli soldiers have opened fire on people in northern Gaza, fired tanks near Khan Younis and conducted a drone strike in Gaza City.
As part of the ceasefire deal, Israel agreed to allow 600 aid trucks per day into Gaza, the minimum number needed to stop the spread of famine. But Israel told the UN it would only allow 300 trucks - half the amount needed.
Israel agreed to return at least 120 bodies of Palestinians as part of the deal. 45 bodies were returned on Oct. 15 - many showing signs of torture. Some were still handcuffed, and one had a rope around his neck.
Don’t ever believe a state committing a genocide to stop on their own accord.
History books will study the complicity of the world during this time after repeating “never again” and letting it happen again. But worse.
