Ken Sim and ABC are bringing ~$120m in cuts to community centres, parks, and public services.

On Thursday, City Council is voting on a $17m retroactive boost to the 2025 police budget.

Now the Police Board is asking for another extra $50 million in 2026.

Today ABC voted down a motion to expand municipal voting rights to 16 and 17 year olds.

Disappointing but not surprising.

A party backed by billionaires and the super-rich needs as few young people as possible voting in order to stay in office.

Ken Sim never had any mandate to abolish the democratically-elected Park Board.

Now we need to stop his reckless cuts that threaten park maintenance, trees, beaches, sports fields, as well as indoor and outdoor programs for residents.
