ALMA image of the exoplanet PDS 70c and its surrounding disk, the first ever observed moon-forming disk around an exoplanet. The image shows a bright ring of dust and gas surrounding the star PDS 70, with a smaller, fuzzy disk around the planet PDS 70c, indicating the formation of moons. The disk around PDS 70c is believed to be capable of forming several Luna-sized moons.

This Jupiter-sized planet, part of the PDS 70 system, is surrounded by a disk with a radius similar to Earth's orbit around the sun, potentially forming 3 Luna-sized moons.
