South L.A. just became a Black cultural district. So where should its monument stand? We break down the significance of the potential locations, including Leimert Park, Central Avenue, Exposition Park, Adams Boulevard near Arlington Avenue and others.

Now that #SouthLA has been designated a Black Cultural District, local leaders need to decide where to place "the physical landmark that will serve as the district’s entrance or focal point."

This "urban meadow" on Vermont across from USC is the former site of the Los Angeles Public Library #ExpositionPark - Mary McLeod Bethune Branch, built 1975 & moved to 39th & Western in 2008. The vacant lot is still City-owned property.
