FMLIST Visual Logbook for the day of March 2nd, 2026, as of 13:05 UTC. An Es cloud seems to be centered over south Turkey, bringing receptions of East Turkey, Iraq and Iran in Greee, Syria and Jordan in Romania, and Egypt in Ukraine and Rostov-on-Don, ruZZia.
Another FMLIST log map, this time showing receptions on Feb 28, 2026, the 1st day of the war between US & Israel and Iran. Similar pattern was observed, with an Es cloud over South Turkey or a little further into the Mediterranean Sea. The opening lasted for over 3 hours, between 12:59-16:18 UTC.
FM DXers in SE Europe have been observing an unusual phenomenon for March - Sporadic-E openings between Romania and Saudi Arabia & between Bulgaria and Egypt.
These have been seen for the 3rd day in a row today!
Could it be caused by missiles flying in #WARINIRAN?!
