I'd like to believe most of y'all recognize Glenn Frey (and if you don't then my GOD am I getting old), but for those of you unaware, Glenn Frey was the founding member of the Eagles, one of THE biggest/most successful rock bands of the 70s. When I say the Eagles were big, they were BIG. They made classics like "Take It Easy", "Desperado", "Tequila Sunrise", "Best of My Love", "I Can't Tell You Why", and SO many more. And you wanna know what ELSE they made? Hotel California. I don't even need to say anything else, if you know you know. Unfortunately, the Eagles broke up in 1980 (after years of inner strife), but pretty much every band member went on to have successful solo careers, including Glenn Frey! No Fun Aloud is what I like to call a perfectly acceptable album. Is it anything that completely shook up the industry and changed music forever? Not really. Is it a perfect album just because it was made by a member of the Eagles? Also no, but I think it's fine, because it didn't TRY to be that. Not to sound like a boomer or anything, but what I respect about the album (and Glenn Frey as a whole) is that even if it's not my EXACT cup of tea (and there's some songs on the album that I felt just went out one ear and through the other), genuine effort was put into it, and in a poetic way, maybe that might apply to FNAC 2? You at LEAST have to respect the vision, so I hope that y'all do the same for this render!
