Here is Girri in her roost tree. They also watched her fly from tree to tree. The parents didn't harass them at all, which was unusual.

GIRRI RETURNS TO TOWER!
Girri showed off her strength and flying skills as she returned to the top of the tower to meet up with her parents. Amazing ~ she fledged just 5 days ago. Great job, Girri!

Diamond fed BOTH Girri AND Gimbir full meals! I have seen mates feed each other, but never an entire meal. I think both Girri & Gimbir were perplexed (I sure was)! Only Diamond can explain… and she’s not talking.

Girri couldn't get enough of Diamond during this long visit. She got as close as she possibly could, nibbled Di's talons and her feathers, and took a little nap with her. A sweet scene between mother and daughter.

We blinked and suddenly Girri was a big, fluffy chick. She is clomping around the nest box on her unwieldy clown feet, growing pin feathers, exercising her wings, *and* she scaled the Cilla Stones for the first time.

12-day old Girri likes to be under a parent, where it's nice and warm. Dad Gimbir, however, hasn't yet learned how to brood. Girri's efforts to wedge under Gimbir hasn’t worked, but a side-by-side arrangement has been achieved.

Gimbir met his very first chick. He seemed somewhat perplexed to see a fluff ball where there used to be an egg. And while he hasn’t yet learned the subtleties of fatherhood – or even the not-so-subtleties – he will do so in time.

Diamond increased moving and shaking of the eggs as she likely detected a pip and heard at least one chick. Chick #1 went from pip to hatch in 7 hours, as shown in the video!

Gimbir made an early wake-up visit, but didn't heed Diamond's breakfast order. He came through later, but dashed out. Breakfast was delayed again until he returned to incubate. Learning slowly.

Diamond laid her and Gimbir's second egg 59-1/2 hours after the first. Her typical laying interval is between 50 and 60 hours. Congrats, Diamond and Gimbir!

Upon meeting his and Diamond’s first egg, Gimbir did a good amount of nibbling. No obvious harm done. Gimbir has performed well otherwise, so keeping high hopes for his paternal capabilities.

Gimbir brought prey that was nearly as big as him. Diamond had clearly already eaten, but was grateful, nonetheless, and will enjoy later. Gimbir has proven himself to be quite a skilled hunter.
