So I think I'm calling this done (for now), and hope @tomjmegan.bsky.social will accept a late entry into the #festivetankchallenge. Whilst my soul is in 15mm for ww2, bar some noteable exceptions, 28mm tanks are great to paint up.

Wheels and tracks worked on today and some decals. Kit comes with allied stars aswell but I'm staying true to the Hollywood version. Its beginning to start to look like a film 🌟. Base has also been primed, slowly its coming together.

Final #FestiveTankChallenge … I’ve gone about as far as I dare before I get hold of the missing parts from this Ryefield Models full interior Sherman. It’s a a stunning kit, sadly missing key parts. I suspect it will be ages before I return to it unless anyone can print the parts? #HistScaleModels

Well… I got most of the paint on it but there’s been a bit of hiatus thanks to other things plus an ikea trip which resulted in a second desk to build and install in the hobby room with all the ensuing chaos that involved.

#FestiveTankChallenge day 10 - we are almost there. Bases just to finish with a few tufts, crew figures to fettle a little bit then glue into place, final highlight, drybrush, touch-up and then the varnish coat and I’ll call ‘em done (decals can go on when they arrive). Fab.

The start of 4 days off so hope to make some good progress, after my late start to the challenge. Today was getting some base colours on the armour followed by a gloss and matt finish to seal them ready for chipping layer and then finish colour over the top.
