Teresa Graves-was an American actress and singer who played undercover detective Christie Love in the ABC crime drama Get Christie Love!. Her role helped pave the way for more diverse female representation on television, inspiring Black actresses like Viola Davis and Kerry Washington to star in their own primetime dramas. Graves died in a house fire at the age of 54 in 2002. At the time, few in her Los Angeles neighborhood knew she had been an actress.
