The natural world repeats patterns in harmonic beauty. In this work the patterns of wood grain and water flow together. Collaged fish swim through patterns and around the drawer pulls. The layers of elements fool the eye, back and forth between a utilitarian object, complete with keyhole, to watching fish swim and jump in the water. Textures of wood, water, collage and the dimensionality of this art object make it one of a kind. 41 is scrawled on the back of this found object, possibly by the carpenter.
