In the Spey game (at least among the bigger producers), I’m a Sage guy and have been since my first two-hander more than two decades ago (the big, heavy brown 9140). My single hand graphite trout rods vary a bit more, but for personal use, I use Winston and Scott. On the guide boat, it varies a bit more depending how we’re fishing and the experience of the anglers on that day. For beginners, the Orvis Clearwater punches well above its weight.
Question: Do you have a favorite fly rod maker or manufacturer?
If so, are you exclusive in buying from that brand?
Just curious.
