An illustration in the fashion of an old illustrated zoological journal, in this case in the field of Lepidopterology (the study of butterflies and moths).
Here it depicted a moth like creature that looks suspiciously like a Luna Moth (Actias luna), with the signature pale green wings, purple top wing edge, small purple and yellow eye marks and long twisted wing tails. However it is most definitely not a Luna Moth, it is a Flying Fuck, as is evident by itβs body, which is a purple curcive of the word βFuckβ; a dead give away of the species.
Further information on the illustration provides a brief study of the spieces, but it is so small it is illegible, so I will transcribe it here.
ABOUT THE LUNA FUCK:
Actias Luna Volans Fukkit, commonly know as a Luna Fuck. It has a typical wingspan of 4.5 inches though they can grow as wide as 7 inches. The Luna Fuck is native to the eastern side of North America and parts of Canadian where they live in deciduous woodlands. There they lay a cluster fuck of between 200-400 egg that will hatch into a larve (also know as the solitary fuck) that will live on a diet of walnut, hickory, persimmon and sweet gum. The long tails of the Luna Fuckβs hindwings are not just beautiful but also thought to serve as a defence against bats as it confuses their echolocation.
Fasicanting.
I have a habit of making things, In-depth projects that take a long time, & once theyβre done I forget, or loose the will, to post them anywhere.
I think thereβs a certain irony in the fact that my #FlyingFuck series is among such projects.
There r 12 of these btw.
I illustrated them in June.
