A comic page, white with small square panels that increase in number down the page. The panels show a medical wristband with Fall Risk crossed out and Legally Blind written on it in marker; a hand feels the strap of a shoulder sling; bottles of antiseptic and gauze; bloody scrapes on skin; an eye with a drooping eyelid, the whitened iris listing sightlessly inward.
Between them are abstract representation of noise, smells, and other sensations. They cover up the speech bubbles, making the words difficult to read.
A speech bubble reads: Mr. Murdock? The CT scan isn't great. Apparently you couldn't sit through it?
Another speech bubble, implied to be Matt Murdock, reads: No, uh...I have sensitive hearing.
Panels show snapshots of the hospital, doctors moving about, calling to one another. Devices monitoring and beeping. A Doctor closes the door and turns to address Matt.
She asks, Well, how are you feeling?
A comic page laid out in a 9 panel grid. We are seeing the small ER room and Doctor with only Matt's red, sketchy wire-frame perception.
Matt casually sits on a hospital bed. He is wearing tight-fitting black clothes and his right arm is in a sling. His orange hair is messy, and the curls form little horns. There are scrapes on his face and stubble on his jaw. Nevertheless, he smiles cheerily.
He says, Oh, swell.
The Doctor asks, How's the headache?
Eh, he replies.
Doctor: Does the shoulder hurt?
Matt: It's fine.
Doctor: Uh-huh. Could you tell me your full name?
Matt: You've already forgotten?
Doctor: I'm assessing your cognition so choose your pick-up lines wisely.
Matt: Matthew Michael Murdock.
Doctor: What day is it?
Matt: September 13th.
Doctor: It's the 14th now, but I'll let that slide. Do you know where you are?
Matt: The fine Mount Sinai West hospital.
Doctor: Correct.
Matt: Do I get a prize?
Doctor: Yeah, it's called no apparent brain damage.
Matt: Hey...Can I ask a weird question?
Doctor: I love those.
Matt: What was I wearing when I arrived?
Doctor: ...The same clothes you're wearing now?
Caption: Not subtle, Murdock. This is my under-layer...Where is my suit?
Doctor: Retrograde amnesia isn't unusual for a concussion.
Matt: Yeah...Is that all this is?
A comic page in a 3 by 4 grid.
Doctor: I wouldn't treat it so lightly. Do you recall hitting your head recently?
Cut to Daredevil being punched and slammed against walls.
Matt: I may have fallen down the stairs.
Doctor: And this isn't the first time you've come in here with bodily injuries. Breaks, fractures...
Cut to Daredevil getting beaten up and thrown through a window.
Matt: Well, I live on the sixth floor.
Doctor: Who do you live with?
Matt: I live alone - for now.
Doctor: Any family nearby?
Matt: No...
Doctor: I can put you in touch with some services to help you get around...
Matt frowns.
Matt: Look, I know I might seem helpless to you, but I get around just fine.
For the first time in the scene, we see the ER room as it actually is - cold, grey, and sterile. The doctor stands next to the bed that Matt sits on.
Doctor: I don't think you're helpless, Mr. Murdock. But your brain is still recovering. Another bad knock to the head before you've fully healed could do serious damage. And as much as I enjoy seeing your face, I wish you were in here less often.
Matt's roguish smile returns, like armor.
Matt: Geez Doc, way to break a guy's heart.
A comic page in a 3 by 4 grid.
Foggy wears a brown suit and carries a stack of papers under his arm. He and Matt stand in the doorway to Matt's apartment.
Foggy: You're going to stay in your apartment and rest.
Matt, impassively: Okay.
Foggy: Don't give me that. The doc said nothing physically or mentally taxing.
Matt: Your honor, what could the client possibly be capable of in this state?
Foggy: I'm afraid to even think about it!
Foggy makes devil horns with his fingers.
Foggy: Because I definitely know how ended up in the E.R., too concussed to remember dragging yourself there.
Foggy exclaims as a file falls from under his arm. Matt catches it.
Matt tucks the file back with the others, grinning.
Matt: You're my favorite emergency contact.
Foggy: I'm your only emergency contact.
Foggy turns to leave.
Foggy: I'll finish up this case prep today. We're still behind...
Matt: I could-
Foggy: Please just take a freaking nap, Matty.
Foggy goes to leave.
Foggy: I'll call you on Monday and fill you in.
Matt: Okay.
Foggy pauses at the staircase to look back at him.
Matt peeks out of his door, cheerily waving goodbye, a white circular halo around his head.

There is some variety in how Matt has been drawn in the comics, so I felt some freedom in designing him anew. Enjoy the little devil horns lovingly drawn into his hair
Also thank u to NYC for writing the biblical references for me
