The sad thing is that I happily would have watched two hours of Rey running around Jakku eating bread. Definitely has all the normal flaws of J.J. 's stuff, but it's also just... Bad. Bad script. Meh directing.
Good acting though.

Many things enamor me to the Sequel Trilogy. None more than Rey.
I connected with her story and journey immediately. And sure there was some (IMO) questionable writing as the trilogy closed. But I’m no less excited to see where the next chapters take her.

Scene with Luke & Leia in Return of the Jedi, one of the most powerful scenes..no action..no CGI.. All brother & sister, the feeling of the force. The moment. Natural. No emergency. No tense build up required.
Didn't get this in the sequels.
