EATING IN ISRAEL Among the healthiest cuisines in the world, Israel always ranks among the top 10. No wonder, as the foundation is the Mediterranean diet, which is known to be very healthy. However, this blanket term 'Mediterranean diet' falls short when it comes to Israeli cuisine. A greater variety of dishes, spices, and ingredients can hardly be found in any other national cuisine. Since its founding in 1948, Israel has welcomed people from 80 different nationalities. Each has contributed to Israeli cuisine.
The group's participants of the Twin Wineries Germany were served cheese, fresh vegetables, salads, bread, and olive oil of excellent quality during the tastings at the wineries. This is standard; a wine tasting, a reception without snacks, without tasty 'little treats' is unthinkable in Israel. Fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, meat, spices, herbal and flower teas can be found in Israel in abundant varieties at every market. And Israelis have a sweet tooth. There is a large selection of sweet pastries. The dinners during the Israel trip were always very tasty. Whether young or old, meeting in the evening at a restaurant to dine together.to chat is extremely popular in Israel. There are numerous restaurants. A mediocre restaurant does not have a long lifespan.

I've been to Israel Wineries March 2023 as the photographer of a group of German members of the Twin Wineries Initiative.
2026 Wine & Dine is still important for Israelis despite the cruel war forced on Israel by Hamas, Hesbollah, Huthis and Iran.
