B4 #GE24 Lab promised to bring energy bills ⬇️ by £300.
But 18 months later Energy prices R ⬆️nearly £180 per annum & will rise further on 1/1/26. With Food prices up by nearly 5% & benefit cuts most ppl be worse off

I was once a member of the Labour Party. I left it at the time of the Iraq war and switched to the LibDems.
I rejoice at the Tories being obliterated last year but if at the time of #ge24 I'd been a Labour member, I doubt my membership would have survived the island of strangers episode.

Libraries are precious spaces, & given the Council's just reviewed timings - should be open for communities.
I was disappointed last summer Leith Library was closed for #GE24.
Glad to get cross party support last month to start formally tracking Edinburgh library availability.

Angela Rayner only a couple weeks ago said Household Energy bills were now cheaper under Lab.
Lab promised to cut energy bills by £300 a year.
With latest Energy price hike @Ofgem means Energy bill be 12-14% higher since last July.

This is exactly how Labour won #GE24: by focusing attention on potentially winnable seats; by being rigorous about Voter ID; by ruthlessly abandoning campaigns with insufficient promises; and by getting out the promised vote.
But winning is one thing and governing is quite another.

You can't blame general apathy for the #Runcorn byelection result.
Compared with #GE24, the vote for @UKLabour went down more than than the turnout. ie, despite some tactical voting, NET, only Labour voters stayed at home:
more voters came out to vote for non Labour candidates.
