The area on Runcorn Hill that feels like the most likely spot that James Cooke climbed on board a flying saucer in 1957. Whilst walking home, I actually did see (and film) a Tic Tac shaped UFO, but more about that in the upcoming book!

Oxmoor local nature reserve, earlier today. It is among what was once marshlands along the left bank of the #RiverMersey east of #Runcorn, now largely covered over with industrial and logistical concrete. Oxmoor is a haven for warblers and more, helps manage local flooding. #Nature #Cheshire

I feel an affinity with my great grandfather Robert William Barnes (1887-1946). Born in #Oswaldtwistle, #Lancashire, he was the manager and then proprietor of the billiard hall in #Runcorn, #Cheshire. His obituary says he “had the capacity of making friends” just like me 😉
