Some people believe that gene editing is being used to create designer babies instead of its intended purpose - to resolve or mitigate disease outcomes before they begin. Gene editing can: Fix genes: Correct genetic alterations that cause disease, so the gene can function properly Turn genes on or off (epigenetics): Turn on a gene to help fight disease, or turn off a gene that is causing problems Remove DNA: Remove a piece of DNA that is impairing gene function and causing disease What are your feelings towards this genetic technology?

Some people believe this is going ‘too far’
What would you think if this meant that #disease could be managed before birth instead of being used to create #designerbabies ?
