Each table needs a unique key. However, the key doesn't have to be the label. If a table looks up a student it stores the student ID but the label will show in the AppSheet interface the students name.

When using Google AppSheet (AppSheet.com) your unique values can be numbers (like student ID) but change the label to have the app display their name instead.

You can make a no code app!!
