Nearing the end of #GradingJail for both the semester & academic year. As an upper-level writing-intensive course, My #ENVSCOMM25 class had the most grades, with ~30 evaluated assignments per student. Fortunately they were a great class, which is making my grading a bit easier. Thanks, students! 🎓✍️

Still in #GradingJail, but there's light at the end of the burrow. Finished & submitted grades for my first-year-student seminar (aka the "tracking class) yesterday, with a goal of finishing grades for 'Environmental Geology' today. Then just one class to go, for 'Great Books of the Geosciences.'

Like most academics this week, I'm in the midst of #GradingJail. This semester's tougher than usual, evaluating students from 3 different classes, & broke my right wrist on Thanksgiving (biking accident). But surgery 1 week ago & physical therapy since have helped me to partly regain typing skills.

Currently in #GradingJail, but a research student came to visit me and gave me such a kind and thoughtful card. Plus this pin, proving that this student *knows* me. I will miss the students so very much. But I am eternally thankful to the students, who made my unlikely career possible.
