On #ThisDayInHistory in 1606, #GuyFawkes escaped most of his treason sentence for the #GunpowderPlot. He was supposed to be drawn behind a horse, non-lethally half-hanged, emasculated, disemboweled, & hacked into quarters, but broke his neck at the second stage in the execution.
