2. There's a late season surge of #fluB underway. In the week ending 3/7, 40% of tested cases were caused by flu B; that's up from 30% the previous week. Earlier in the season, when flu was peaking, #H3N2 was causing nearly all the infections.

5. #Flu season is hanging on. (this year=red line, last year=orange). You always hope when there's a high peak like this year that flu season might end early but it often lingers. #H3N2 is still the dominant virus, but a sharply growing percentage of cases are now #fluB, which is tough on kids.

2. The early part of the 2025-26 #flu season was almost exclusively caused by flu A viruses, particularly the new #H3N2 variant subclade K. While still the predominant flu virus out there, flu B is picking up steam, as it often does later in the flu season. As I said, B is tough on kids.

3. Flu season got off to a rapid start around Thanksgiving largely because of the new #H3N2 variant, subclade K, that emerged too late for inclusion in flu shots. Earlier this season most flu was flu A & most A was H3 & most H3 was subclade K. But A is subsiding a bit & B is increasing.

Die HEPA13-Filter konnte ich weiterhin verwenden.
