🤔 WEIRD! I created a #HomeAssistant #Hacs card to deliver the new #xkcd comic every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and deliver a RANDOM comic on other days. I coded it, so I know it's RANDOM. But look what it popped up TODAY, just before Valentine's Day!!!

Anyone have any luck connecting #Daikin One Touch #thermostats to #homeassistant?
Current #HACS integrations don't work and I'm only now realizing the Daikin sunset its local API access and replaced it with a rate limited cloud API running out of a European developer portal. #smarthome #automation

Found out that the Ontario Energy Board electricity rates can be fairly easily added to #homeassistant via #HACS

This will help determine cost for electricity usage and ability to automatically control start times for appliances to minimize cost.

Took some brief time to setup #HomeAssistant on a VM over the weekend, with a view to moving to a dedicated device. So far have added #HACS, Energy info and the few devices we already have. Struggling with HomeWhiz devices but will keep investigating.
