The Royal Canadian Navy St. Laurent-class destroyer HMCS Fraser (DDH 233) underway during exercise Distant Drum, in 1983.

#OTD in 1951 #HMCSFraser was laid down at Burrard Drydock in North #YVR. Commissioned in 1957 she served the #RCN until 1994. Last of the St. Lawrence class, the next ship to bear the name will be the first of Canada’s new River-class destroyers in the 2030s #TinCanCanucks #NavalHistory
