I haven't met Gally, or Anderson for that matter.
We really aren't friends, so no, I am not sad that a 33 y/o #habs soldier for 13 years has declined to the point that he is being benched in favor of a younger more productive player!
He might have JUST enough income & savings to cushion the blow?
Reinbacher's role changed with Engstrom's injury. Combined with additional minutes, these factor into more point production.
But Reino was NOT drafted by #habs as a point producer. He was/is counted on for strong DZ impact (goalmouth presence, bodychecking, puck battles) & driving play to the OZ.
Only 1 way to improve the offside challenge rule: 10+ seconds after puck enters OZ, no challenge permitted.
There's simply no other way to fix it:
- Kept as is, b!tching & whining continues;
- if abolished, replays show some 'good' goals were offside. MORE b!tching & whining ensues.
