Andy Warhol created this piece based on a newspaper ad for cosmetic surgery. It was displayed at department store Bonwit Teller who was owned by American fashion designer Halston in the 1970s. Paul Rudolph designed Halston’s Upper East Side townhouse that featured the Rolling dining chair. The townhouse also held many after-parties and gatherings from Studio 54….if these pieces could talk.

I watched #Halston on #Netflix this weekend & it was infuriating how many lives were ruined to maintain the drug habit of folks like him. Not to mention, the way Aids/HIV killed untold numbers folks because closeted bisexual black men catered to them.
Watching the documentary by Whitney Sadler Smith of #SouthernCharm fame called Ultrasuede: In Search of #Halston & it’s fascinating! I can’t believe the list of people he got to do interviews! Liza is everything!
